What's October to you? Sure everyone loves halloween, dressing up with the kiddies and gorging yourself on mallomars and snickers till you puke high fructose corn syrup. But what else comes in october aside from the candy sales at the corner store (heaven!) and the meticulous planning of that m&m costume?

Rules:
Must be made for this contest only, no prior works are to be accepted
Must not contain sexual content. Romance is fine but, it must be absolutely kid-friendly
The pieces can include,any form of artwork.
Anyone may enter. This is a public contest.
The deadline is October 30, 2006
Must be an original work by the one who entered the piece. Art theft will not be tolerated. All characters must be original.

.:Submitting Rules:.
Please send us a ^NOTE in which a link to your submission is present. Please make the title of the note "Contest Submission" so we don't think it's just a club submission for the gallery. All forms of digital art should be sent to :devhigtech-artists: all forms of Traditional art should be sent to ~lowtech-artists this includes writing and photography.

.:Judging:.
The entries will be judged by the lowtech staff and 3 elected judges along with a club-wide vote. Judging will begin on Octber 31,2006 and will end November 1,2006 Digital and traditional pieces will be judged by separate clubs and the top prizes will be given out for both traditional and digital art.

.: Member Prizes:.
1st Place: The piece will be featured in the October newsletter along with two other thumbs and the artist will be our featured artist of the month.
2nd Place: The piece will be featured in the October newsletter. The piece will be featured for a 1/2 month in the journal
3rd Place. The piece will be featured in the October newsletter. The piece will be featured for a week in the journal

.:Non Member Prizes:.
1st Place: The piece will be featured in the October newsletter along with two other thumbs of the artist's choice.
2nd Place: The piece will be featured in the October newsletter along with one other thumb of the artist's choice.
3rd Place. The piece will be featured in the October newsletter.
