The Novel Side of Fan Art 3
Another three books, or series of books, today! Dragonlance, novels by the Bronte sisters, and the Alice novels of Lewis Carroll.
Fantasy Dragonlance
Ah, Dragonlance. Those books beloved of every fantasy fan's teenage years. I started reading these when I was about 14, and GCSEs suddenly seemed to become unimportant compared to Raistlin's trials. I can still remember the warm glow that seemed to surround me as I delved deep into Weis and Hickman's world.
I have to start with Raistlin, of course.
*
Myar is, I think, the best deviant Dragonlance artist around. She is incredibly versatile, producing anything from these wonderful portraits of Raist:
to this incredibly cute, if rather uncanonical, chibi pic of Raistlin and Dalamar:
Another wonderful Dragonlance artist is ~
airasan. Here are her pics of Raistlin and Dalamar:

Classics the Bronte sisters
After featuring Jane Austen in the first Novel Side of Fan Art, I thought it's about time the Brontes got a mention. Or, more realistically, "Jane Eyre" and "Wuthering Heights".
So, Jane Eyre. Seemingly deviantArt's favourite Bronte novel. Here are some wonderfully atmospheric pictures of Jane by =

Now for Wuthering Heights angst. What more trauma and tragedy could one novel contain?

Childrens Alice in Wonderland / Alice through the Looking Glass
These books make me shiver. They are weird, amazing, unique, hallucinogenic, silly, complicated ... and they have spawned the most incredible range of fan art, from cutesy pics like this one of ~

My favourite character in the books is the Cheshire Cat. He rocks. Imagine fading to just a smile, how cool is that?

"My name is Valerius." Valerius straightened his coat with a regal, arrogant jerk. "And I do take offense to him." (Sherrilyn Kenyon, "Night Embrace")
