:Issue Two is OUT:
Hello, fellow deviants

*
Nestalgica writing for dAZine, and let me tell you, this is a good one. We had some technical difficulties -- Jessie's (=
GoaliGrlTilDeath's) computer is far, far too old to handle this sort of assignment -- but we finally got it off the ground. I'd like to take this time to welcome some new members to our staff:
~ChiliSan is the new Head o' Critics. He will take care of the Critics, listed in the Table of Contents page in this month's issue. If you have a deviation you'd like the Critics to critique, send a note his way. I will go over the guidelines regarding submitting and critiquing deviations later.
~zootlocker is the new Head Editor. When articles, critiques and descriptions for deviations are written, Zoot (as we affectionately call him) has a look-over for edits. If you submit an article/written piece, you are giving us silent permission to edit as we see fit (poetry/prose being the exception; it's not a chance to have your story edited). If you wish to become an editor, contact
Zoot via note.
I will still be handling Article submissions, and Jessie will still work with featuring artists.
This brings me to some important information:
Regarding Articles/Editorials
If you wish to be an editorial writer for ~
dAZine, send a note to either the dA Zine account, or directly to me, *
Nestalgica. I will sort through writers and do a bit of background. If the note you sent to me/your journals/writing in general reflects good grammar, concepts, etc., I will reply back to you accepting your offer. HOWEVER! If you, for whatever reason, are unable to write an article for which I give you a prompt,
please contact us about it. We do not like having to hassle you about it if you do not turn in an article you said you would by the deadline. If your article is late, the higher chance the entire Zine is late.
Regarding Critiques
By submitting a deviation for critique to us, you give the Critics permission to tear the deviation apart with constructive criticizm. Every little detail should be hounded upon; this is something I probably did not explain to the critics well enough (I understand how difficult it is to critique poetry, so possibly that was too hard too early). Again, if you wish to become a Critic or submit a deviation for critique, contact ~
ChiliSan for more information.
Now that all the serious stuff's done, allow me to show off our featured deviants' stuff!

A good painting makes people say yes thats nice. A great painting makes the person see what that artist sees, hear what that artist hears and, feel what that artist feels.

I, personally, loved the bit about how music affects our art ... especially being a bit of a fractal artist myself, I have had those days when my style is dark and "moody" because I'm listening to some metal or "angry" music, or conversly if I am listening to some techno .. it turns out different.
You guys rock.
