This month's Heart-Stealer:

Some of you in the lit community might better know ~StoneAnnexCipher as ~RenascentPhoenix, one who left DeviantART, but returned. Better known as Chris to some, and Fred to others, he is the founder and manager of ~TerseVerse, and one of three poets here on DeviantART that keep the TerseVerse webpage up and running. He is also a member of staff in the #PoetryPlease chatroom, and a surrealist when it comes to his poetry.

Two examples of his poems are Sparrows of Holly Lane and Three a.m..

When asked to give some brief thoughts on these two pieces, Chris responded with, "Well, The Sparrows of Holly Lane is a true story. (There really is a Holly Lane filled with suspicious sparrows that I walk down 5 days a week) As for this other one... Some sort of terrible, dark introspection which renders the simple of act of getting water from the sink in the bathroom late at night as something macabre. I suppose. Maybe." And when asked to comment on his poetic style, other than a claim to surrealism, he told me, "It's like a coat of black doves."
