DaVinci, Picasso, Monet... these are all names I'm sure you've heard of before. They are the Masters of the art world and their talents are world renowned. But have you ever looked at their pieces and thought to yourself "I could do better" or "that would look awesome in a comic style"? Well here's your chance. How would you have painted DaVinci's Mona Lisa? Show me using only Vectors.
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".

A stock manipulation contest to recreate a Greek Myth, legend, or story using stock from three different DA Stock providers. Time period costumes not required. Have fun it is a contest but it is also to introduce new DA artists!
This contest is about your fears and the human condition, meaning that everyone has dis-likes, fears, and things at really freak them out. Now, make art about it.
I will soon be launching the ArtCast! A podcast where I interview all different kinds of artists. I'll also get the scoop on news happening in the art world! I already have a few popular artists lined up. This is very exciting and I'll be providing the link for it when I'm done. It will most likely be available in Itunes.
That's interesting. Seeing as though, most art is a visual medium.
Hearing only an audio description of how someone goes about perfecting their sculpting technique or simulates natural light with a software airbrush, I think, will be an interesting concept.
You pause oddly when reading, like at the wrong times.
(This is my critique by the way).
You spent too long on the Goya story. You should give the main details briefly, and any aditional information if someone is interested in the story, so that they can follow it up.
You used a lot of unprofessional terms during your interview. The interviewer should always be more prepared and more eloquent and, often, more verbose than the interviewee. You're good at reacting and responding with the interviewer however. Taking something they said and twisting it in a new direction.
The questions were good, allowing others besides you too ask questions. But having more questions coming from "random" people and not from the interviewer her/himself lends the listener to believe the interviewer wasn't prepared. An open segment is supposed to be a minor closing moment, not a ten minute highlight.
Fourteen and a half minutes into the ArtCast at the moment, (this is a really long interview ) if this takes off, which I think it will (with some good exposure) you should really look at your interview structure. Right now it's just like a game of 20 questions, (except we're up to about 50 ) that doesn't have much direction. Most artists won't be as willing as Rebel Penguin to continue an interview of this sort.
I skipped ten minutes of the ArtCast from 18 minutes in to 28 minutes in, when you were closing.
Nice music though
Tips: More diversity:-
From what I gathered, yoy had an intro, news segment, then a twenty minute or so interview.
:- More structure
Pretty much see what I wrote in my criticisms.
:- Just keep at it.
You have a natural talent for the microphone and have a pleasant speaking tone (). I feel you can really take this far if you just try a little more definition and a bit more substance.
