It's bitterly cold here in Alaska so I am celebrating the beauty of winter and the Christmas spirit by featuring some winter/Christmas images in my journal! I want to see images that grab me and make me go Wow!
If you can do that, I will feature your image in my journal during the Christmas/Holiday season. (please be patient
I may be a bit slow getting images up because of my arm see my journals for more info)
This is not a contest just images that I think have that special winter/Christmas beauty. I dont pretend to be an art critic,
but I do know ice and snow after living in Alaska for 40 years and after all - I DO live very near the North Pole!
I will select images that in some way make me think of winters beauty and Christmas even though the artist may not have created the image for that reason.
Here are some tips on what I am looking for in the images I will select:
For ice & snow
very bright, whites
icy pale blues
bright silver, no dark grays included
very pale pinks if icy blues are present
no yellow hues
no dark colors
mystical, ethereal images that evoke a snowy Narnia fantasy land. Quality of the image is important also
sharp photos, sharp renders, and clean lines.
For Christmas images
I want to see spruce greens and rich ruby reds
greenery, holly/berries, pine cones, pine boughs, mistletoe, red ribbons, garlands, wreaths, shiny Christmas ornaments/decorations and Christmas trees. (I am not looking for Santa images.)
I am looking primarily for FRACTALS, PHOTOS, 3D or PHOTO MANIPS but will include other categories if the image is awesome. I have to put some limits, simply because I cannot do the work necessary to view and post everything
hope you understand. I will not be able to comment on the images
only feature them in my journal. There is no rhyme nor reason to when or how often I will post your images to my journal or how many I will post
it just depends on my time and arm.
So get out your fractal programs and fire up your cameras, 3D programs and brushes
the hunt for Christmas begins! If you are not on my watch list and want to make sure I see your image, send me a link!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Anita
