It's not unusual for the occasional shot that blatantly breaks the rules presented in
FAQ #565... it's also not unusual to see some deviant post
PORN that they got from another site, attempting to pass it off as their own "art".
What I think is a RIOT is the joker who tries to support this by saying that these people are "Pushing the Envelope". My favorite quote so far has to be this one:
"
I think u all are dumbasses who are u guys to tell what's art and what's not? u didn't even gave the photographer the chance to explain what this picture means for her.
u make me sick! remember magritte? he pooed in a bottle and called it autor's shit to criticize people like u."
The photo in question was a closeup of a woman inserting her finger in her vagina. Which is a blatant breaking of the first section of FAQ #565. I really don't think we need the photographer's explanation. If you have your own server, website, etc... then perhaps you may poo in a bottle all you like. Just not here.
It's not a matter of what's art and what's not in this case... FAQ #565 spells it all out, what's
allowed and what's not.
What many of these folks fail to recognize... is that dA is a HUGE house, and we are all renters and tenants. It's a house that comes with RULES. Yeah, they suck for some of us... but it's
not our house.
Imagine if you rented out a beautiful home, and the tenants continually kicked in the cabinets and smashed holes in the walls when you specifically told them
not to?
And imagine if said tenant said that they had the RIGHT to do it just by virtue of being an
artist?
Yeah, I think that person would pretty much be looking for a new home.
Ya wanna push the envelope? Ya wanna be daring? I think it's MORE challenging to find ways to be bold and daring and remain within the rules of FAQ #565, than to continually break the rule.
It's not a rule of "art" that you're breaking... it's a rule of dA. No other way around it.

I totally agree!
There's even a club on dA called "Perverts Without Frontiers Association" and they say on their journal, "We don´t like DA policy" and one of their conditions for being members is "If you have some of your pics deleted and you don´t know why."
There are tons of porn sites for that...
I totally agree with your news post!

If you're talking about the perv club, the requirement "If you have some of your pics deleted and you don´t know why" meant more that if they violated nudity policy and got their deviation deleted.
I checked out your gallery, nice work! ^^

Something has got to be done about that... many people tend to forget that DA starts at 13 years old, and some youngsters could get shocked by images.
Sometimes, I also question artistic nudes, and think that users under 16 shouldn't be able to see them. Submitted that to the help desk, but they said no, "for the sake of art". Hmm... whatever.

Such people here are really sick, disgusting and dispicable when they post such hateful, crudded and insulting commentary.
Something needs to be done to exterminate those problematic deviants who may claim to be "talented" when it is not a excuse for them to only when they submit such imagery that violates the rules due to the inappropriate content in it. This includes those are either ignorant and/or who get defiant and deliberately resubmit previously removed works that were deemed inappropriate by the site administration.
All of this degrades the trust and severly damages the reputation towards the site administration as well as the entire site.
