DailyDeviant's Oct. & Nov. Features!

*DailyDeviants:iconDailyDeviants: reports, December 6, 2006
=DailyDeviants is a club that features deviants every day of the week! Here are the monthly features from the months of October & November!

Before we begin we'd like to let everyone know that we are looking for staff! We're looking for deviants that might find an interest in the Digital and Miscellaneous galleries as well as being a Journal Staff. If you're interested, please go here and read how to submit your application. Now let's begin!

October Features

Traditional Selections

*mahirates

When I first came across *mahirates gallery I was struck by the vibrant colors and beautiful figures that appear, in some form, throughout. This gallery has since become one of my favorites simply because of the passion I see translated in every piece. It is clear that this artist loves what he does and because of this, and his remarkable talent, we, the viewers, have no choice but to love it also.

Featured by *Elune-555

~stephchard

I've been watching ~stephchard's gallery for quite some time now and am constantly impressed by the growth of her work. Linked by a sense of sophistication and beautiful jewel tones, her works sparkle and invite a viewer into more elegant times.

Featured by *not-sleeping

=arwenpandora

While I don't usually approve of artists using celebrities as references, =arwenpandora's work is in a whole realm on its own. Her rich use of charcoal and other drawing mediums really shines with her rich use of dark darks and light lights. If you view her older deviations and compare them to the newer ones, there is an amazing amount of improvement and growth apparent in her work. Her gallery is a gem and shouldn't be missed.

Featured by =Ashleigh-Michelle

Photography Selections

=pearwood

=pearwood takes you on his journals through a kayaker's strokes. He's beautiful lake, sunset, those funny times his lovely cat and family is captured through his click of the shutter. In his gallery, there is something for everyone to admire.

Featured by *rakastajatar

*LutherBash

I had a very difficult time choosing just three thumbs from *LutherBash's gallery because he has so many amazing photographs. You will definitely enjoy his stunning experimental yet classic style.

Featured by ~andy261

=timeodd

=timeodd sees the world in vibrant colours and is kind enough to share his vision with us. Take a trip through this gallery!

Literature Selections

*xiooua

There are so many things about *xiooua's writing that I wish I could create. He has a wonderful way with words, creating such rhyme that allows the reader to follow with such precision. I often look back at his pieces, such as Mayfly, and wonder how exactly he made such a wonderful piece of writing. The simple truth is that he is just a wonderful writer all together. Getting a new piece of his in my message centre is a joy, and I always love reading his poetry over and over.

Featured by =lazybutt

~danjklucas

It takes a true talent to be able to be comfortable writing in all of the many forms of poetry. ~danjklucas makes it abundantly clear time and time again that he has that kind of talent. Whether doing sonnets, sestinas, or free verse he fills everything with rich imagery and realistic detail. As a result, his poetry is both magnificent and relatable which I think is quite an achievement.

Featured by =cool4dude

*skybluegoodbyes

If you've ever received a comment in your message center from *skybluegoodbyes it probably was a very interesting, insightful comment to help your piece out in a constructive way. He is always sure to provide you with mind blowing poetry as often as flawlessly written critiques. It takes more than talent to provide other writers with respectful critiques such as he does. It takes determination, a warm and kind heart, and a true love for literature. *skybluegoodbyes deserves this feature not only for his outstanding pieces of literature, but for his relentless efforts to help better the people around him.

Featured by *Amalgamadora

Miscellaneous Selections

=Smidy

=Smidy's emotions are something that i really enjoy looking it. You can see that allot of time and skill has been put in to make these high detailed emotions animate. Its great to showcase =Smidy, and shine the spotlight on him once again.

Featured by =Timbo1

November Features

Traditional Selections

*red-lights

In a word: Inspired. In seventy-five words or less? *red-lights gallery encompasses a full range of emotion and atmosphere, conveying perfectly (in the immortal words of Ursula the sea witch) the Importance of Body Language. These faceless figures are still easily recognized as possessing soul and depth, whether they explode form the canvas in joy, strut across it with cocky self assurance or retreat into the corner in heartbreaking dejection. A master of colour, form and line, *red-lights works are a joy to explore.

Featured by *not-sleeping

~DenisMurrell

The abstract paintings/collages range from simple to complex to down right unfathomable (okay, so maybe that's exaggerating a bit, but they're pretty complex). A nice variety of color use, but a consistent palette of paints really tie this artist's gallery together. ~DenisMurrell is definitely an artist to watch.

Featured by =Ashleigh-Michelle

=sculptin

=sculptin has been on my watch list for a long time. When I first saw his gallery I fell in love with the sensual curves he used to create the forms. Each piece he creates is unique with style and grace completely its own, yet perfectly paired with other works in his gallery. He molds shapes out of materials such as ice, stone and even sand and they all tell an emotional that will entrance people of all ages.

Featured by *Elune-555

Digital Selections

*Radojavor

A while back, I suggested we feature a very skilled newcomer to dA. This deviant received a DD and heaps of respect, but was later found out to be a fraud. I recently was re-directed to the original artists gallery. I present to you, the very talented *Radojavor. His gallery is full of the artwork that i featured last time, as well as some new, more modern works. Please, drop by and have a look at the wonderful gallery.

Featured by =ssecret

~Krimsyn

~Krimsyn's gallery is short but sweet. This new deviant has a niche for the abstract, with a down-to-earth, modern style that can be at times humourous, at others, serious and profound. Colours pop and compliment each other in each deviation; beauty is easily found by each person, as his minimalistic works are often open to interpretation.

Featured by *Nestalgica

~gizmodus

Every once in a while you stumble across a hidden gem in the digital gallery. After faving some of his work a while ago, I thought it was time to pay another visit to the very talented ~gizmodus's gallery. Drop by yourself and check out this deviants rather unique sketchy style.

Photography Selections

~Freq245

I've been running into a lot of young photographers on dA lately. At only 14, ~Freq245 has an already amazing gallery, expect amazing things from this deviant.

Featured by =Awi

~pistonbroke

It's artists like ~pistonbroke that make me glad to be a part of DD. You will fall in love with his work the moment you see his breathtaking ocean photography.

Featured by ~andy261

~multix

A superb film photographer, ~multix brings you another view on his travels. From city life to lonely streets he crosses. He brings interesting life alive thorugh his lens.

Featured by *rakastajatar

Literature Selections

*skufti

Understanding how to create a mood and how to please your audience is one thing that I think is very important when writing poetry. Knowing how to do this will want to make the reader go back and back to the poem and re-read it. I find myself doing this many times with *skufti. She has a wonderful way of putting things into their perfect place, and making a poem stand out amongst the rest.

Featured by =lazybutt

~zxwqdx

~zxwqdx writes lines that jump out at you like a flasher from a dark alley, opening up a trench coat to reveal beautiful metaphors. Beyond just making for good poetry, it makes it memorable. It is the kind of stuff that sticks in the back of your head, popping up at odd times days later. I think that is what makes ~zxwqdx's poetry great.

Featured by =cool4dude

`triptychr

Some people have unique talents when it comes to literature. Some are good at foreshadowing, some use techniques such as alliteration superbly, and others can splatter colorful images into their readers' minds through imagery. Of all these techniques, I have never found a writer who could take literally almost any subject and add humor to it as well as `triptychr. His short prose keep me entertained long after the first read, and many more reads after.

Featured by *Amalgamadora

Miscellaneous Selections

~Aimelle-Stock

Finding a wide variety of resources is difficult to find in the stock world as most stock artist tend to lean towards a single subject. But there is something different about ~Aimelle-Stock's stock. Something that I find wonderful and very useful. She has really proven that she can turn something that you see everyday into an image that an resource user would need. Here are some of the many great pieces in this great artist gallery. Be sure to check out the rest!

Featured by =lazybutt

~blaahy

The secret to making a great emoticon is to have it very well executed. Going through ~blaahy's gallery you can easily see that they know how to make an emote the best that it can be. With classic emotes to very unique ones, you can see that ~blaahy has a talent that would surpass others in his field. I hope that you enjoy these emotes as much as I have enjoyed them!
