The farm where Hewlett Packard was founded is preserved.
And Richard Nixon’s house is a museum.
But the house where Superman — one of the world’s most recognized heroes — was created? It’s a wreck.
So, with the creation of The Siegel & Shuster Society, we hope to raise enough money to repair the house and make sure it will be saved, restored, and there so you can take your kids one day.

Bill Melendez Has Passed Away (1916-2008)

reports, September 3Jose Cuautemoc "Bill" Melendez started off as an animator for Disney and Warner Bros during the 30s and 40s, and later he moved on to UPA where he produced various commercials.
But he's most well remembered for producing (and sometimes directing) the Peanuts animated specials, where he also provided the voice for both Snoopy and Woodstock.
RIP Mr. Melendez. Your works will never be forgotten.

reports, December 11, 2006As i was perusing the magazine shelves casually while christmas shopping, I spotted a special Nicktoons edition of 'Avatar: the Last Airbender', which hosted creator sketches, interviews with the writers and even fan stuff, like cosplay and the 'Ships' wars. [Zutara, Kataang, etc.]
In the back, I noticed a very familiar name, Isaia, popping up as well as some of her strips.
'Avatar's amazing artwork has inspired fans to make their own art. One megafan Isaia created a comic about how being addicted to the show can change your life.'and it goes on to showcase some of her more hilairious spoofs, of which i've been privy to prior to this discovery.
All in all, it was just such an exciting thing to see another Deviant who is getting publically recognized, and hosted.

One thing I'd like to see on the news submission page (actually, there are a lot of changes I'd like to see there, but here's one) is a reminder that the news section is for articles (it's called "news," not "forums II") and that these articles should be proofread at the very least. After all, if it's worth reporting, it's worth reporting well.
