My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!
Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not.
Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough
And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!

Christmas Contest with a Twist

reports, December 12, 2006So, its getting nearer and nearer to Christmas, some people love this time of year, some don’t. I was going to open this to Dark Artists only but, this is for everyone with an imagination who like to put a twist on already existing tales and traditions. Basically the title explains it all. Just come up with a Christmas themed piece of Art with a twist, Examples below:
1: A Sinister Santa Torturing his Elves, and making them cook Rudolph.
2: Santa stealing the Christmas tree and all the presents.
3: Santa riding his slay while blowing up the houses below him.
You get the idea, I want to see what types of twists people can place on Christmas. This contest is also open to Traditional Artists, Digital Artists and Photographers. No Poetry. Keep an eye out for new journals with updates on this contest.
Contest Begins Now.
Contest Ends 1st January 2007 (maybe extended) (Midnight Your time)
Voting Will begin the next day on the 2nd of January (maybe extended)
Winners Announced on the 7th January 2007 (maybe extended)
R.U.L.E.S
1. NO Theft, all art must be your own. Anyone Found stealing others work will be removed from the contest.
2. Work must be your own and not created for you by anyone else.
3. Must Have entries in by the close date. If close date is extended you will be notified.
4. Must enter work within the Contest description.
5. Nudity is allowed but must be within dA guidelines and any person must be over 18. This means NO Porn or any other inappropriate images which violate dA policy, it will be reported.
6. Note me with a link to the Entry once it is submitted.
7. Provide a link to the contest in the Artist Comment section of your deviation for others to see.
8. You can enter up to Three Deviations yet only one will be up for voting, so when the contest closes you will be asked to select the one you like best to face voting.
P.R.I.Z.E.S
First Place: One Deviant, One Year Subscription, One Month Journal Feature.
