Creativity is the basis of art. All artists possess a certain amount of creativity in them to turn out with spectacular pieces of art.
And web designers are no less. Being a web designer myself, i know what goes into making a site. As most people would think, web designing is not about adding rollover effects to a flashy page. Its about how fluent you are with your creativity. You need to imagine new things and things that have'nt been done yet, and thats not easy.

Daily, we see hundreds of sites being launched. The amount of competition web designers face is immense. All clients want their websites to look different from the rest and to stand out from the regular ones. Here is where the web designers skills are tested. Here is where the creativity is put to test on a race track already having hundreds of competitors racing ahead. Its all about that ONE THOUGHT!

Ok! Enough of the deep talk!..lol.. So here we are at the launch of WDL(web designers lounge) Vol. 1..

Ok i know that you guys have got some questions and i'll be answering them below!

Q.What is WDL?
A.WDL is launched with a view to unite known and unknown. new and old web designers here at dA.

Q.What are we going to see?
A.WDL will showcase the latest and some of the best web designs/CSS Journals made by our fellow designers. Plus in the end, some tips/tricks/hacks will be available for our designers to explore.

Q.How often we are going to see an issue?
A.At present, it is planned to be a weekly issue.

Q.Can i request submissions? Can i submit a design for the showcase?
A.Yes! You can submit a design made by you/any other person on dA by sending me a note with a link to the submission. After inspecting the design, it'll be decided whether to showcase it or not.

Tips/Tricks/Hacks:

As this is the first volume of WDL so i'll keep this section to the basics for now.

CSS:
We have witnessed a huge urge among people on dA ever since dA allowed the use of CSS in journals for subscribers. But CSS is not just good at skinning journals but also majority of websites. CSS can do magic with websites. With simple CSS and plain HTML, excellent websites can be created and also, they dont require much time either.

This site not only offers tutorials to learn CSS but also live examples to help you learn by seeing the stuff actually work! And thats not it, it also offers small online tests to test your CSS knowledge once you've learned the art!
