It's time to bring out those chunky woollen scarves and nifty little beanies with mouse ears, my fellow deviants, as it is the time of plum and apple picking, pumpkin carving, and chestnut roasting!
It's finally Autumn! Anyway, that's not as if they ever did anything clever when it comes to foreign politics...

Citizens, I have three questions for you.
Do you have a job? Do you have $199? Do you want $3,000 for your trade?
Even ordinary folks like you can buy a Kia. Yes you can!

Yes, I'm french. However, I disagree with the French global politics. Get that? French people are not a cliché, not a stereotype, I don't have a baguette and a beret.
Let me answer you point by point...
No, just that YOU would be speaking German if it wasn't for us
Past. I'm talking about the present. I recon the USA saved us, but that's another generation. Don't go off topic.
I don't see France trying to broker a peace deal in the middle east or rushing to send troops in to Somalia.
As I already wrote, I disagree with the French politics. Yes, they didn't send troops to somalia. However, they have lots of troops in the middle east, especially in Lebanon, and in the UN forces in Israel and Palestine, aswell as some troops left in Afghanistan. They refused to come in Iraq because of the way the war was started - Saddam was one of many dictators in the middle east, and he got attacked simply because he was the only one who refused to make an oil pact with the Americans. The Bush administration came with a few pointless proofs (oh my god non-existing mass destruction weapons... that can kill non-existing people! Dangerous!) and attacked. Some countries, such as France, had the cleverness to spot what was behind that war and didn't come.
How is it the stupidest thing we have done?
For three main reasons:
1 - This is not going to make the situation in Iraq any worse. This guy is still important to a big part of Iraq, and killing him on a religious date makes things even worse. Iraq is already a nightmare, it's about to become hell. Now, the Sunnis have noone to be attached to, and they might become really extremist and anti-americans (because they were pro-americans so far, as unbelieveable as it might seem...)
2 - Saddam got an improper trial. He was only trialed for one murder wave, whereas he commited many of them. Now he'll be free from any trials, free in death. Milosevic, for example, is still currenly being trialed, and his life is a real pain.
3 - What's right about killing someone? Okay, cool, we killed Saddam. But we brought ourselves to the same level of stupidity as he did. "He killed therefore we must kill him". Aren't we human beings? Aren't we... humane? Aren't we capable of giving him a lifetime sentence instead of killing him? No, we must kill. Killing seems to be normal in the current world. Well, let me tell you something, should it even be for Adolf Hitler, I'm strictly against death penalty. Not only is it a relief for those who get killed, because they don't get a lifetime of waiting in jail, but it's lowering mankind to the same level as criminals, by killing those who killed.
If I ever sounded unclear or if you don't understand my point, please tell me, and I won't mind adding more details.
And if you disagree, of course, I know you most probably will, please tell me.
