Trans-Vietnamese Artbook Project

Dear friends,
In the animated atmosphere of gradually growing Vietnamese comics in the year 2009, I feel so surprised and hopeful about our comics in the future. The reason is that many young artists appear and show off their talents - That is everyone's long-awaited pride. Along with GreenFarm, Manzin and the forthcoming Truyện Tranh Việt Online, Vietnamese comics is believed to be better and move to a higher phase.

Therefore, in order to warm up the air as well as to creat an interesting and realistic activity for all young artists, basing on the idea of Kaboom Ink on DeviantART, =Clap-san and I really hope to lauch a campaign:
Trans-Vietnam Artbook

I wish and believe that this artbook will be supported by all of you. Let’s show to the international friends the joy and unity of our Vietnamese-comics community! ^_^

IT'S YOUR TURN!

Ever wanted the chance to pick DDs? Well, here you go- now's your chance to show the DA community how great your taste is!

After almost a 3 month haitus, DA has been unblocked here in the UAE, and I have certainly got some catching up to do!

This week, some lovely members of the traditional community have sent in some of their favourite traditional work on DA.

If you would like to help expose some under-appreciated artists on DA, please go ahead and send me a note titled 'It's Your Turn' with 8 pieces you feel deserve the recognition (in this format: :thumb#######::thumb#######::thumb#######: ) and I just might chose your selections for the next article. Please keep in mind that this article is strictly traditional art and will not feature work from other galleries. Also, these pieces have been chosen strictly on merit and not whether they have had 3 favourites or 300!

NOTE: Please please please check the category of the deviation. It can be seen above the image. I have received some great sets of suggestions, only to find that 1 or 2 are digital media. Please understand that I want to get as many of these articles out for you guys, but it's wasting a love of time having to check every deviation to see if it's traditional art!
