Writer's for Charity

~MikoUnisto:iconMikoUnisto: reports, January 1, 2007
I am organizing a project which will take all writers, (from teens to adults,) who express interest and getting your writing published in a book. Yes, PUBLISHED, that’s what I said, published. Your writing could help save lives, and, most importantly, it could make a difference.

The publishing will be done by [link] and no, it’s not a spam. Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc told me about it, and this is what I’ll be publishing my work through, along with this.

Now, you ask: How can I help. Follow the steps below, and you can help make a difference.

Themes: Fiction can be anything, from Horror, Fantasy, Science-Fiction, Erotica, Paranormal Fiction, Speculative Fiction, Apocalyptic Fiction, whatever you’ve got to submit, give it to us.

Nonfiction should deal with humanity and the way it suffers, a story of how somebody in your family is hurting because of something, and/or anything else because of it.

Poetry can be anything, but it can’t be less than ten lines.

Send submissions to boyes1@peoplepc.com with the subject line ‘Writer’s For Charity’ and the name of the story. Include the following below.

As for ratings, please include whether it is TEEN or MATURE. We want to separate them so people can know where they are, and not be surprised.

Name:
Age:
Bio:
Type of Submission (Poetry, Fiction, Nonfiction):
Genre of Submission
Rating(Teen/ Mature, so we can put them in their own sections of the book.):
Length of Submission:

If, for any reason, you do not want your name published, we will put you as ‘Anonymous’ in the book.

This is for CHARITY, you will not get payed. You will only receive recognition for the writing, should you chose to place your name in the book. Please, no alias’. Artwork will also be accepted. Copyright will be distributed as such by the stories, along with the publisher’s name, date it was published, etc.. I will receive the checks and send them off as they get come to me.

Also, we’ll need some editors. If you are interested, please, email boyes1@peoplepc.com with the title header- Editor Request. Please tell me what experience in literature you have, any schooling, and what not. With myself, we will need two more editors. Editors will accept/reject stories and help me read through and correct grammatical errors.

Please note: If you don’t include the above information, we will discard the submissions. We will get back to you (I or the editors,) saying if you’ve been accepted or not as soon as we can. Story legnth matters on this. If you are selected to be an editor, you will be responsible for editing the stories I send to you. If you can’t deliver, then we’ll find a new editor to replace you.

We want to try and get as close to the eight-hundred (800) page mark as we can. This is for charity, to please, help us.

And we need Charity ideas. Post them up with respected links. We will vote for as long as we are going to work on this. When we get close to the page legnth marker, I will close the voting, and we will publish the book.

We will need a cover for the hardcover book. Get a cover together-Front cover for a dust jacket, but don’t put anything on it. I’ll give you the information for that. Just do the picture, no text.

i will totally join this!!!!
it's such a good idea!!
but now i have to think of something to write, besides the fluff i've made. XD

Are you Kylee-Black's fro buddy? I think NOT!
:D
:iconmikounisto:
Also, you can email pictures of yourselves to be put before your story, if you would like.
:iconmikounisto:
I CANNOT AFFORD TO PRINT CONTRACTS, BUT YOU IF YOU SEND SOMETHING, YOU GIVE ME THE RIGHT TO PUT IT IN THE BOOK.
:iconmikounisto:
Sorry, I'll hide the other two messages and put this as one:

1. You can put your picture in the email to have it placed in the book before your picture.

2. I CANNOT AFFORD TO PRINT CONTRACTS, BUT YOU IF YOU SEND SOMETHING, YOU GIVE ME THE RIGHT TO PUT IT IN THE BOOK. YOU ALSO GIVE US (THE EDITORS) THE RIGHT TO FIX ANY MISTAKES IN THE WRITING.
:iconthe-celestial-kid:
Length of submission? Is that the submission?
:icondiamondie:
1) Which kind of charity? This is important.

2) Why on earth 800 pages? I think that's way too much, as not only the price of the book will be quite high, it's very hard to fill it with quality material (and to convince the readers that it's 800 pages of quality material). It's just a huge size for an anthology. 200-300 pages would be a much more reasonable goal.

3) Even if it's for charity contributors should always receive a copy of the book. Always.
:iconmikounisto:
I don't have the money to buy books for each individual person who submits something. I'm sorry, but I don't.

There's different types of charities. If you want to submit an idea, do so. I don't know what kind of charity yet.

800 Pages- Simple. It's for charity, and if people want to help, they can do so.
:iconmikounisto:
No, word length. Sorry for the confusion.
