My friend posted this in his journal and I think it's important enough that the whole world should take a moment to reflect on it. Yes..the world lost a talented performer and artist in Michael Jackson..but there are many more tragic deaths occurring daily all over the world that go unnoticed. reports, January 3, 2007First of all let me introduce what ASCII art is for those who are not aware of it, ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange; generally pronounced [ˈæski], is a character encoding based on the English alphabet.
Some of our people are now using ASCII as art, in other words they create/type or code character by character and make it a presentable art. Something similar to Photoshopping but in ASCII you may use only Windows Notepad or Wordpad..etc, ALso this could take days to create one art if you were to type every single character of it. There is only one person in dA that i know and that is `diamondie, who has mastered ASCII and is currently presenting 100% pure ASCII-Art which means she types every single character in notepad or equivalent and just capture the screen and presents it! This is not easy as using photoshop or any other Graphics software on earth; Notepad is used for Note down things or create readable information such as "Read Me" file Manuals..etc. But `diamondie uses Notepad to create Art, isn't it amazing... No point me putting her Art here when you can visit her and see amazing & un-disputed style of her quality and 100% Original art! This is some thing unique and she can be proud of when it is no easy game.
Today there are loads of ASCII-Art generators, meaning you can just convert your favorite image into ASCII-art in just one click, this plug-in is freely available to Photoshop, where there are some fake heroes in dA who has done this already saying that they have typed each and every space or character of it, Well thats the fake side of ASCII while some have intentionally done ASCII-art generation and said it on the Description thus`diamondie has to be proud of her genuine ASCII=-Art!
Below are a few ASCII-art done by other Deviants that took my attention for a while, all are not original ASCII work some are ASCII generated, but are great!
