After new year, i present to you the third installment. It was supposed to release on sunday but i had been off to Canada for holidays and returned on Tuesday and got the time to do this today. So its late but features the latest!

I would like to wish all of you a very belated happy new year. I hope all of you enjoyed your holidays as much i did.

As the new year unfolds, i would like to see new designs unfold and dont tell me you did'nt learn any new tricks in the past year! Well nows the time to put all the tricks together! So go ahead.. show me your talent!

CSS Blended Backgrounds

Even wanted to create those gradient backgrounds but found that it took a lot of time for them to load or slice them up?

Well, i may not be suggesting the best method available but did you know you can use a little but of graphics and CSS to achieve the gradients?

Well the thing to do to achieve this effect is simple.

a) Create a semi-transparent PNG with the top color as the color you want to use in the starting and let the other half of the image be transparent.

b) Next Put this image as the background on your page and set the background color in CSS as the color you want the image to belnd into!

And voila! Instant blended backgrounds!

And yes! You can use this technique in your journals also!

Sadly, IE users will not be able to see that effect in journals as dA does'nt let us use javascript in journals but the effect will be visible on webpages!

So go create your gradients and feel proud of yourself!
