It has come to my attention that not many people actually realise there is a catergory for traditional animation or computer animation, and stop motion animation is simply thrown together with traditional animation in the coloured test catergory. I think Flsh animation gets alot of attention on dA, but all other aspects of animation are overlooked because the catergory is hard to find, and it isnt publicised enough.

I think Animation should have its own Catergory, with subcatergories like 'traditional', 'stop motion' 'CG' and 'Flash' being in the animation section. They could also all keep their subcatergories within their section.

Animation > Tradtional Animation> Rough Animation
>ColouredAnimation
> Films

> Stop Motion Animation > Tests
> Films

> CG Animation > Tests
> Films

> Flash Animation > Tests
> games
> Interaction
> Films

I dont really understand why Flash has subcatergories like 'Humor', 'Intros', 'Utilities', 'Interfaces'. An Intro isnt a complete animation, so should be a test. Interfaces and Utilities can go into Interaction or can just have their own 'Website' Based section. But why does flash have 'humor' 'animations' seperate, when all other animation simply has 'test'?

So this section is to get the word out and bring forth the attention of Animation and get it recognised as it's own catergory. I think that this will only happen if enough people put their name for this petition, so please Simply comment with your support.
