The DeviantART community has lost a deviant, an artist, a poet, a friend and a great person. Ian Cunningham, ~
3HoursAway, had been tragically taken away from us months ago in a car accident. He was only 18 years old. It is unfortunate that
we should only find out about his passing within these last few days.
We, like many other deviants, did not know Ian personally. We only knew him through his poetry and through his words. But his death comes as a reminder to us about just how short and sudden the human life is. Lives can change so drastically within the matter of seconds and minutes. On the surface, it is only circuits that connect this community and its deviants, but on a deeper level, there is so much more. To not have know someone personally, to not have heard their voices or seen their faces, but to be affected so deeply by their departure is an experience that can come with the human soul to feel and reach out, even sometimes to complete strangers. We wish for you to remember how precious and fragile a life can be every time you communicate with a fellow deviantART member.
As time goes on, the despairing pain of a loved ones death should heal, but the pain will never truly go away. The memories will always remain and for that, we should be grateful. Ian
travel safely wherever your soul carries you, and our hearts are with you always.
Our condolences are with Ians friends and family.
Rest in Peace, Ian

"This is exactly what I mean. But we KNOW we are dispensible. Everyone knows that someday they'll die. So why do we have doctors? And scientists? We fix people back up with medicine, but they die anyway. I guess its just human nature to try to survive as long as possible."
To be honest I wasn't a fan of you! But when i read your stuff i wish i could have been one! I Know that you won't be there to read this but damnn it why did gad call you this soon.. ? Sometimes i really don't understand this world. We just lost a great human being, a great writer & what not... May You Rest in Peace Ian!

I really don't know what else to say. But like all the others who got to know about his death, I'm just as sad.
