My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!
Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not.
Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough
And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!

deviantWEAR Portraits Category Launched! 
Good news! The deviantWEAR Portraits category was recently launched so that deviants from around the globe can show off their great taste in style. Bad news! The category looks a little bare. Solution! In order to celebrate deviantWEAR Portraits and have some fun in the process, the Creative team is offering a little incentive for new submissions to the category.
Here's the deal ... 1. You need any official piece of deviantWEAR to participate in this contest.
2. Comb your hair, brush your teeth, and sport your deviantWEAR as deviously as possible.
3. Take a photo and submit it as a deviation to deviantART Related > deviantWEAR Portraits. (Submit as many times as you'd like.)
4. Five of the deviations that are submitted between now and February 3rd, 2007 will be randomly selected to win v5 deviantWEAR shirts.
5. Additionally, the Creative team will be selecting some of our favorite photos to win additional prizes.
To recap, all you have to do to participate is take a photo of your deviantWEAR (preferably with you wearing it) and submit it to the proper category. From there you will automatically be entered to win one of five v5 shirts.
However, if you're feeling especially devious and creative, go ahead and think out of the box to take a clever, cunning, or witty photo. Be bold! Unleash your inner supermodel. We'll reward you for it.
What's that? You don't own any deviantWEAR? The horror! Head on over to our deviantWEAR shop page and pick up a few items today. Once they arrive you can hold your photo shoot and submit to this contest. Everybody wins!
