What a wonderful find for the world art community. I hope they wind up in a museum and not a private collection where we'll not be able to marvel at them.
One of the things I love about this site is how many things people have crafted by hand and how many of them are willing to share how they did it. I've sewn clothes, worked with clay and wood, made jewellery, made sculptures, cooked, folded origami and attempted to make plushies and I know the trials and joys of making something with your own hands.
Speaking to a number of Crafters, as I call them, I found out why it is they love Artisan Crafts.
~spasticpez said "Creating things gives me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling on the inside for some reason. It's a real good sense of accomplishment."
With a number of things I've seen on this site, it's no wonder they feel a sense of accomplishment.
"There is just something so appealing about an original that can really only be duplicated by someone going through the same steps by hand. Or in many cases, even the original artist can't make an exact duplicate, nor would they want to." said ~Smoke-Z.
=Mredria said "I love the stories people have about the things they make, especially afterwards," and concluded "Stories! They're half the reason."
So, without further ado (and more clichés), here are some craft creations I'd like to share with you and I'm sure they all have their own stories behind them.
Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my. Well no lions or tigers, but the bear completes this cute set of animals. Animal lovers are sure to love these keyrrings with cheery 'faces'.
Artist Quote: Simply some cute little critters I created, who's purpose are not only to hold keys, but to make people smile.
This sculpture deserves a look. Wow. The colors and designs are striking. The contrast of black and white make the design really pop.
Artist Quote: I was going for a swirling checkerboard effect with this, and I think I was partially successful, I am sure to try again, as I love doing eggs in this style.
Hand puppets aren't just for youngsters anymore. The coolness put into this plush handpuppet is 'sirius'ly the . Keep up the great work.
Artist Quote: Sirius the Hand Puppet is a tribute to one of my favorite literary characters in all the ways that a felt hand puppet and button eyes can convey.
Being the Winter Queen would truly be an elegant experience in this simple silver gown and cape. The crowning glory would have to be the CROWN, of course. The flowers and crystals make this truly beautiful. This costume exhibits true beauty through simplicity.
Man's best friend shown in intricate detail by this woodburning is awesome. I want a puppy. This is truly a unique and beautiful display. I still want a puppy.
Origami gone wild! The construction of this piece is absolutely stunning. I can't even make paper dolls. I love the body's intricate design and the tail just flows so elegantly.
Artist Quote: There is actually a dramatic story behind the creation of this model. It was created for my best friend who loved me for two years. Phoenix, also known as "Fire bird", possesses fire that will never burn out. When I gave this to her, I hoped that her passion toward me still burns like before. However, it was just my foolishness. She has no feelings toward me anymore.
To conclude all these in one sentence is difficult. I suppose this model can be justified as my sincere love toward her.
Gorgeous. Masquerades are mysterious, but the colors and design of this mask are sure to bring mystery to a whole new level.
Artist Quotes: Creating a leather butterfly and conveying its delicate beauty... poised to take flight, is no easy task. Not too bad for the first one out of the cocoon.
Vikings everywhere would have to admire the craftsmanship in this plaque. The intricity of the brass is amazing, especially knowing that it's only 6" wide.
Artist Quote: This knotwork embraced Viking compass reflects my love for ancient metalwork but it also represents the traces of Nordic blood in my veins and the inspiration I've gotten from the Icelandic singer Björk.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM cake. This has all the makings of a fun party. I like the colors because they are fun, like ice cream. I never thought about making wafers from spaghetti beginnings, but wow, isn't it great?!
Amazing lines and colors. The metal accents are perfect and actually accentuate the perfectness of this snug but flattering top. I would wear this if I had a body like that.
Artist Quote: So much of the goth/punk/alternative clothing you see on the street is formulaic and mass-produced; I guess my intent with this piece (as with all my fashion designs) was to create something *genuinely* unique that could rock with almost any style.
There is nothing Munster about this elegant black rose. It's awesome to see beautiful, unique designs that don't flash you.... The hat is the perfect touch along with the sleeves and neckpiece.
An insect may be decaying, but this lovely costume is nothing short of amazing. The fabric drapes perfectly and I love how the rough edges of the wings meld together with the body of the dress. Stunning.
Artist Quote: Organic decay in regards to flora and fauna have always fascinated me, and I was trying to capture a tiny part of the beauty found in the life cycles of the natural world.
Rock On! I love this design. I hope my future is as bright. Creativity to the max is displayed in this shirt design.

Artist Quote: When you die not only do you leave your legacy behind, but a piece of typography, how would you like to be remembered typographically when you 'leave us'?'
Beautiful stone and skilled craft work created this chunky turquoise piece. Cut, designed and polished by the artist and I simply find it lovely.

Artist Quote: I think Malachite has great energy in it's color, and I wanted to make a piece that carried this "energy" in it's body (of lines).
The clarity and colours of the stone are simply beautiful. Almost identical in shape unless you look closer. What makes a crafted piece look even better is the presentation and the white background and shadows really drew me attention, right up there with the colours. As one user said its delicious.

Artist Quote: The stone that exemplifies all the colors I feel.
Absolutely beautiful pieces. The swirls appear to be silver but are actually clay. How ingenious. Crafty eye candy.

Artist Quote: I think all handmade things have something magic, because when you make them you put in them your energy and your passion.
I made these pendants to dream. They are coloured drops of fantasy set as treasures in dreamy thoughts.

I had to search for these manually. All the other categories I had people handing me their art to look at.
Yes, you should put them up. Feel free to pass me a link. Good presentation is important with artisan crafts (which many of these featured pieces displayed) and makes it more appealing.
