Not really, the whole point of journalism is to report on a story. Street photography is about capturing the moment that provides the viewer with the base to construct their own story.
Take Robert Doisneau's famous Paris kiss photograph for example. It has little journalistic merit, there's nothing to indicate the place, time or situation in which it is taken. From a street photography perspective you have the potential to unravel any number of love stories.
Some very nice work but I would say that many belong in the Street Photography gallery.
The point of photojournalism is to tell a news story. Considering in some of the images the photographer has no mention of news in the description I feel it would fall under Street.
This isn't to take away anything from the quality of the work though
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. Give the Insects and Spiders category some lurve.
And I agree with you as far as the photojournalism/street photography distinction goes. To me it seems rather arbitrary.

Beards not bombs.
Street photography is there to tell a story.
Personally I'd say the two are very different.
