As I've been on dA, I've been slowly accumulating various extensions, scripts, and other doohickies that make browsing even greater and more customized. In this article I hope to introduce to you (or remind you of, perhaps) some of these things that particularly stand out to me.
The first important thing (that is actually required for several of the features here) is to Get Firefox. It's just better than IE. Yeah yeah, the new IE has tabs too, but Firefox STILL has extensions, skins, and is generally more customizable, which is what this article is about.
Enough talk, on to the features!


Journal Related (CSS templates, tutorials, and other sundry goodies)
I have to say, my favorite journal skins I've seen are from ¢mynti, =ipholio, and *Lilyas. They're classy, simple, creative, and just great-looking.

Okay, this just needs its own category. =dancewiththesky has, I kid you not, utterly transformed the way I browse dA. An AMAZING set of extensions to, among other things: browse galleries (even non-subscribers!) with unlimited amounts of thumbs on the page, bring news to the message center, and easily perform an advanced search! Here's the whole series (so far) for your pleasure:



General Browsing
....this thing is a miracle. It displays your message count in the status bar at the bottom of the Firefox window, and is also a link to the message center! A godsend for those of us who obsessively check for new messages.
