Daily Literature Deviations - December 5, 2009

=DailyLitDeviations:iconDailyLitDeviations: reports, 5h 41m ago
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you :+fav: the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Discussing page views, activity and popularity, ~ChaoticSkye explores the inner workings of the community on deviantART from her point of view.

Although this does not apply to everyone, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority perceive things from a different point of view from reading this.

The Animators' Workshop, vol. 2

*boum:iconboum: reports, January 14, 2007

Interested? Go check out The Animators’ Workshop, vol. 1!

Here am I again with more selections from the infamous Traditional Art > Animations gallery! The response to the last issue was very positive so I decided I couldn’t wait any longer before posting the sequel to this series. Enough talking, now; go check out the new features!

Please note that I indeed have suggested some of these as Daily Deviations in the past few months, but no matter the number of comments or favourites, I can not possibly forget the amount of time and effort put into them, so here they are, featured again. For those who had missed them, enjoy! (And the others, enjoy again!)

A little reminder: In most cases, you'll have to download the deviation to view the animation, and not simply full view. I just wanted to point this out as it has been an issue in the past!

Comments? Suggestions? Deviations to share?
Please note me with all the necessary info to make this news article a series! Please title your note as Animators’ Workshop, and I’ll consider your links as soon as possible.

Augh... for some reason the links don't seem to work, I must have messed up the coding. Anyone knows if it's possible to edit news?

In the meantime, vol. 1 is here: [link]

wow, awesome man, thanks so much for including me in this!!! I feel honored to be mentioned, twice! lol :)

Cant edit news, crap thing about dA new posts, but I will definately be looking around those groups and animations.

Thanks again man. My only suggestion to keep this going is maybe select fewer animations, maybe a limit of 5 or 3, or otherwise you may dry up the animation section quickly.

You could also interview some animators and have some of their work featured.

anyway, awesome idea man. Thanks again for the mention.

Can't say that it's the most overlooked gallery as most of these have a hundred+ favourites and even more views. :P
:iconboum:
You'd be surprised at how many people ignored the existence of this gallery.

I'm starting with a few classics, that's all... ;)

Not always the best thing to do. ;)

Try 50- favs next time around.
:iconfunkyalien:
Hehe, awesome! I'm glad you liked mine enough to feature it :D
I'll be sure to check out all the other animations!

It's gotta get harder before it gets any easier.

Remember yesterday, prepare for tomorrow, live for today.
:iconboum:
I try to feature animations that I personally find very accomplished quality-wise, and it turns out that some of them have already been DD'ed in the past... of course I also try to dig out some others that need more recognition. The Animations category is still new and it's still hard to find some true animations in there, as it is filled with irrelevant deviations.

But I'll keep this in mind as I go. :O
