Google Project 10 to the 100

¢mindfuckx:iconmindfuckx: reports, September 25
"At Google, we don't believe we have the answers, but we do believe the answers are out there. Maybe in a lab, or a company, or a university -- but maybe not.

Maybe the answer that helps somebody is in your head, in something you've observed, some notion that you've been fiddling with, some small connection you've noticed, some old thing you have seen with new eyes.
If you have an idea that you believe would help somebody, we want to hear about it. We're looking for ideas that help as many people as possible, in any way, and we're committing the funding to launch them. You can submit your ideas and help vote on ideas from others. Final idea selections will be made by an advisory board."

Google will donate a $10 million sponsorship to the top 5 ideas.
So what are you still doing here ?

I'm thinking for those that are banned from dAmn, this would allow them to gain access or something. Not sure.

it seems more like an application that allows you to chat using dAmn's system without having to actually open the chat-rooms in your browser.
I doubt you could login when you're banned not do I think this is the intention of this program.. since it would be very smart to post a news article about it then :)

I've always wanted an external program that I can use to chat on damn without leaving FF open all day long. Hopefully this will be what I've been looking for.

~plaguethenet:iconplaguethenet: Jan 17, 2007, 2:22:10 PM
Its an application that i wrote to connect to dAmn. Its a semi native windows application. I wrote it because my laptop has a really hard time with java/dAmn extensions etc and the chat can be really really slow. And bog down my entire system. Also firefox seems to have a memory leak that also kills my computer. This application is meant for people with lower performance computers to provide a way to connect to dAmn without those disadvantages. :) The official client is better IMHO. But this is a good alternative if you cannot or dont want to use the official client. It also fully obeys the protocol. With the execption of mature deviations. (It will show the thumbnail instead of a link, I plan on allowing an option at a later date to switch back and forth between the two options)

Logging in when you are banned is IMPOSSIABLE due to the fact that you CANNOT obtain the authtoken from dA which is required to log into dAmn. And if it were possiable i would find a way to prevent that from happening :)
