Previously we announced that the removal of the Help Forum was being discussed by senior administration and to gauge the community feelings on the subject we asked those interested to take a poll. The Poll results have shown an overall agreement with the staff decision to remove the Help Forum and funnel all help needs through the official Help Desk.

This week we're here to inform you that the removal of the Help Forum is scheduled to take place shortly before the end of the month. While this was a difficult decision it is one that I feel is correct.

Please bear with us while users adjust to the change and the staff adjust to the slight increase in the overall number of daily inquiries.

To help deal with this extra load, we will be looking in to bringing more people on to the Help Desk team sometime this year, to make our already excellent response times even better for you!

Alternative Help

I would like to take this time to remind users of our Official #Help Chatroom, located on the dAMN messaging network, where users can receive live help 24/7.

To visit this chatroom simply click on the link entitled "Chat", located at the top of main deviantART pages, you will then be taken to the main chat page. Once there in the 'Featured Chats' listing you will want to locate the #help channel; clicking this link will bring you in to the chatroom. Or you can visit this chat by clicking here.

In Closing

If you're not already familiar with the Help Desk & FAQ access points, they can be located in the following methods listed below:

1.) Located in the footer of most deviantART pages the Help Desk & FAQ can be accessed by clicking on the link entitled "Help & FAQ".

2.) If you visit your own userpage and look to the top right corner you will notice a menu tree next to your statistics, hovering over it will reveal the link entitled ‘Help & FAQ’, clicking this link will take you to the Help Desk.

3.) The third "Help & FAQ" link resides on the front page of deviantART, located in the navigation column on the right hand side of the page.

4.) You can also use the "Quick Menu" to get to the "Help & FAQ" page. The Quick Menu can be accessed by clicking the small deviantART logo next to your username, located under the deviantART header. Once the logo is clicked a menu will drop down with the option to access the Help & FAQ, in the bottom of the listing.

5.) Located inside forums is a link to the "Help & FAQ", under 'Devious Thoughts?' comment boxes.

6.) It can also be accessed by clicking on 'Contact Us', followed by the appropriate link.
