#stocktalk is DeviantART's newest stock chatroom

With benefits for both stockers and those who use it! There are big plans for this chat room, and we hope to have more stockers & manipers interacting as the chatroom progresses. Here is a little list of things that we plan to do in the future!

Request Sessions

These sessions will act as a form of inspiration for stock artists. We will have a "panel" of stockers who would like to participate in the session, as well as you all requesting images from them. After you explain specifically what you would like to see from the stock artists, they will give you a "yes", "no", or "maybe". The panel of stockers is welcome to ask you questions or even give out special packages to manipulators of their choice.

Featured Chats

Interested in seeing how stock artists do their thang? Want to become a stocker yourself? Learn from the best! We will have monthly (or one ever x months) featured chats with stock artists of your choice! As most of you know from other featured chats, you are welcome to ask whatever questions you would like to the featured artist. Learn all about the life of a stocker in #stocktalk!

Paired Collaborations

This is something that I look foward too! My plan for these paired collaborations is that each month, a stocker will be randomly paired with a manipulator (photo manipulation, drawing, digital painting, etc.) and they will be given a theme. With this theme the stock artist will have to produce stock for the manipulator, and they will have to create something with it. The winners will be divided into categories and win prizes like subs and prints!

Stock Bot

As many chats have, #stocktalk will also have a bot that shares stock! Hopefully you will be able to find some inspiration after viewing these images. This bot is still in progress, so if anyone would like to contribute, please let me know!



Possible Additions:
Stock Hour - sharing stock for an hour, a lot like #photographers "Thumb Hour"
News Articles - they will feature the artwork made from the paired collaborations.

Thursday and Friday are our grand opening days! If we have enough people hanging out and being active (it is called stock talk for a reason!) then we will have many prizes (subs, prints, features, and maybe even custom stock!) to hand out to you all! There also might be many mini-contests depending on the participation of people!
