So... all you illustrators out there... here ya go. I have a story, called "Why Ocean is Angry" [link]

It's a children's story that I've been planning on trying to get published for years... but I want it to be complete (as in illustrated) before I try submitting it to publishers. (And it's copywrited, so no stealing my story, folks, or you'll be making me richer)

So... read the story, illustrate it however you want... and the winner's art will be included when I submit it to publishers. Then, provided it actually gets published and sells and whatnot - we split the profits. Fair?

You can use whatever medium you want, I'm not picky. I'm just looking for something fitting that stands out. You can e-mail entries to oceanlady@gmail.com, because I'll be needing the big files (and your real name so I can credit you), and I have nothing against you putting the artwork in your gallery if you want to (just because I know some people don't allow that).

And, as I kind of extra if (when) it finally gets published, I'll send you a signed copy - just in case I ever get famous

Slight change: Just make an image or two related to the story and send them to me by... lets say the end of March? If this isn't long enough, just say so. Then from those images I'll pick the person I think is best suited to illustrate the whole thing. Sound good?
