Well, I answered yes to both of the questions i posed to you in the summary. So, I would like for any of you zombie loving poets out there to submit your best poem about a zombie.
Rules are simple:
1: must be poetry, no essays, short stories, novellas, epic poems (i would like this to be done in a timely fashion :-p)
2: must be about zombies. it could be about a zombie, a zombie attack, a group of ppl surviving a zombie attack, a person becoming a zombie, etc. as long as one of the main themes is a zombie, then its all good.
3: all entries must be submitted in note form to me, wakeyjakeyeggsnbakey
4: all entries must be in within one month of today, that is march 6, 2007.
Simple, rite?

all poems will be judged on:
1: relevance. cant have it not being about zombies, now can we?
2: writing. such as rhyme, meter, structure, length, intentionality, flow, rhythm, etc. dont worry tho, poems will be judged fairly. for example, a free verse poem will not be judged on rhyme scheme. thats just not cool.
3: awesome similes, metaphors, and other techniques will probly give u bonus points, but thats not saying a totally straight forward poem could not win.
4: just to let u writers know, just because this is about zombies doesnt mean it has to be horror, macabre, dark, scary, or anything. it could be humorous, or without a drop of gore. anything, so long as its a zombie poem

prizes are:
as of rite now, nothing. sorry :-/ u will get the satisfaction of knowing your poem was better than the others submitted, plus the first 3 places will get a full journal feature by me, and be faved, and those in 4th and 5th place will have honorable mention, and i will submit every poem submitted into the contest as a scrap on my page, with full credit given, of course.

as of right now, i'm the only judge. that is to say, the only judge with a dA membership. other judges will just be other friends of mine that write. i will have the winners within 1 week of the cut off date.
