For those that missed it last week, the newly redesigned FAQ has been launched, including the addition of some new features to it.

The deadline for the Help & FAQ Awareness contest is approaching soon, so if you have not already uploaded your pending entry, you may wish to do so.

Work will begin again shortly on the "Welcome Pack" for new members. You can expect its 'English' debut sometime around early to mid May of this year.

This week I would like to remind everyone about sending inquiries concerning forum threads and news articles. Often at times we will receive questions about closing a thread or deleting a news article and only the title of the given thread or article is provided. In order to help with these sorts of situations we will need a direct link to the forum thread or news article in question. By having this information in your ticket to start with, this will ensure that your situation is handled as quickly as possible.

Can you please explain the "Welcome Pack" to me? I remember, some time ago, that there was some initiative to create the welcome messages for new deviants. Some people were gathering to translate those messages to their language, so that new members can read them in their own language.
This is great. I love welcoming new members, that is why I visit the "today" page a lot. I have my own message that I paste to new deviants, and often help them in their first days, either by explaining some rules, or just by giving them my support.
It is important to make it as comfortable as we can for new deviants.

I really like the new FAQ, but I've found that it kind of pauses a lot. I will start typing a keyword and it stops a few letters in, then catches up after a few seconds. Then when some FAQs come up, it takes another few seconds before I can click on them. Is that normal? If so, is there anyway to fix this?

Good info about forum closures and things. Links are much more useful than a title :nod:

The search does this because it loads the content dynamically.
