Welcome back to the 6th Issue of The Third Dimension, featuring the best work from the 3D gallery submitted in the past week.
This week's featured interview is with ME!
Otherwise known as =
10am
-----------------------------------------------
Firstly, what is your name?
My name is Jordan Ingleton.
What are your tools of the trade?
I use Cinema 4D R10, Photoshop CS3 and Poser 6 sometimes.
How would you describe your artwork?
An ever changing melting pot of ideas ranging from graffiti based designs, all the way through to flowing natural designs. I like restrictive colours and more duo toned/monotoned images.
Where do you get most of your inspiration?
A lot comes through doing this article ever week, it's amazing to see the styles and creativity of a lot of seemingly unknown and known artists. I also draw a lot of inspiration from the world around me and from my own weird dreams!
How do you go about realising the ideas you have?
Heh, a lot of the time I can't, be it because I can't figure out how to do it or I just don't have time but recently I've been scribbling designs down basically and trying to envision the rest in my minds eye.
What are some tips you'd give to fellow 3D artists?
The most important thing is that at first all 3D will look dodge, try not to feel overwhelmed and spend time making replicas of other artists work, do not submit them but keep them for your own development. Also take the time to ask your favorite artist how they do a certain thing, 90% of the time you will receive a positive response. I like to think of myself as very easily approachable and i'm always happy to work with people and to help out however I can.
Who are some of your favorite 3D artists?
Oh my, well let's see.
Everyone who's been featured in The Third Dimension so far, I love the work of =

This is a stunning piece of modeling of which the Doctor himself would be proud! Perfect use of materials and lighting make this a well worthy piece of featuring.
FALLENANGELv3 by ~aeonart
This piece caught my eye immediately when I saw it and with good reason, gorgeous use of colour and light make this one of the best abstracts I have seen in a long time.
SomeDay by =artofkerem
When I first saw this, I thought it was just a screencap from a professional movie, then on closer inspection thought it was a mix of stock image and poser. When I read the description the fact the whole thing was rendered in 3D just blew my mind, awesome work!
Lamborghini SPIGA concept by ~ugursahin1234
There is something ethereal about the quality of this render, whether it's the light grain on the image to the almost cartoon like rendering, this image touched a spot in me that just made me feel so damn tranquil, a stunningly well crafted model with excellent use of materials and colours.

I have been watching this artist for a long time now, and recently his improvements are starting to blow my mind! A wonderful blend of a unique render and excellent post work make this well worthy of a feature.
Empty house by =Angelus-Hellion
Now I'm not usually a fan of the overuse of the splatter filter, but this image contains so much more than just that, I couldn't help but fall in love. You really need to see it full view to spot all the little details. It's well worth it, I promise.
Creeper by ~darkMyke
Keeping in line with it's artist's name, this piece of work is quite imposing, with excellent use of colour control and shadow an eerie feeling comes naturally to this piece. Although the text could be slightly more subtle, I can't hold that against what is a wonderful piece of art.

Well, that is it for another week, stay tuned for a massive surprise in the next issue!
Love,
10am.
