"In the wake of the festival, we started five years ago a mail-art project that aims at creating a link between illustrators or mail-artists and the imprisoned women of the Montluc prison (near Lyon, France).
Some famous French illustrators are already involved in this project: Lionel Le Néouanic, Bruno Heitz, Frédérick Mansot…
The prisoners have created an association called "Les Zunes". The big part of this association's work is to turn the women into mail-artists. Thanks to the help of specialized educators, they create their own mail-art. This is an essential way for them to keep a grip on the outside reality.
AND THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP AND YOUR TALENT!!!
If you are interested in this project, and if you are up for joining your French counterparts, do not hesitate to mail the prisoners a significant quantity of mail art.

Every year the Festival hinges around a big theme, which is for year 2007:
"I remember... of tomorrow"
This quite mysterious theme refers to many interesting questions:
What will the society of tomorrow be like?
The protection of the environment and of the wildlife…how could we do?
Is SCI-FI a premonition of the future?
Is peace going to reign all over the world in the future?
Your work has to be linked with that theme and its size cannot be greater than A4.
AND…
Last year this project eventually became wider, and extended to the hospitalized children of the Debrousse Hospital in Lyon. The children have also been given a nickname: "les Petits Loups" (Little Wolves) and have been sent many letters from France as well as from abroad.
As it turned out to be a great success, we are looking to renew this operation this year.
