Magicka is an art group and community. We have a set of high-standard artists that create work for art events with a certain theme. We stride to challenge ourselves with the themes, and have been proven to be challenging. We have forums, show casing (Called a View Port where you can upload your piece and get criticism.

History
magicka was first found on deviantart by sam46 and Lodzi, it was currently only an art group located on deviantART releasing packs from the members. After a while, one of the founders, sam46, started to have too much things on his hands and had to leave, therefore Lodzi was looking for a new admin to help out, this is where David Ambler (dotSilver) came in, which Lodzi gave a full responsibility and left the group shortly after. The group was getting all mixed up with the members, and thus restarting over with new members and mostly an invitation only. We wanted to get magicka more out into the open and on the web, therefore a site, this site, was created. The site first opened in Early November starting with the first new event of magicka, Elemental. After this event was released, we started gaining a lot more designers then we had expected for starting. The layout was only a very simple layout, nothing big and exciting, just a place to show the events and designers. Because of this, and the amount of designers and viewers David decided to make another layout and change of plans for magicka, an art group community where the members can also be involved in the site, but not the events.

This new development (which is the layout now) was started in Early December and was programmed and designed by David, it took about a month and half for the site to be completed.

The vision that David had and still has for magicka is to have an active community for all types of artists at any level to help each other, talk and chill amongst themselves while giving viewers the chance to receive inspiration and the magicka designers to test their skills with the events that we release.
