I completely agree that we need to take better care of the Earth while we're here and need to find better alternatives to fossil fuels for many reasons.

That said, how do you account for global warming given the fact that the earth's average temperatures over the last eight years has actually stayed the same (actually decreased but less than a degree)?

Global warming is worried about way tomuch, yes its a problem to an extent. but 30 years ago, every one was worried about global cooling. so in another 30 years, are we really going to be worrying about global warming? not only that but the planet goes through warming and cooling cycles all the time. And while most people do not like war, it is unfortunately a fact of life. there will always be war. a noble cuase but i dont know i think perhaps your barking up the wrong tree so too speak.

so what do we have to do?

The "global cooling" has been proven allready 10 year ago, that is was just a natural state that the earth had. It happens in every 60-70 years, for a few year.

Global Warming on the other hand, is caused by man kind. Toxic waste, huge ammounts of different kind of a smoke, the greenhouse effects, cars, nuclear powerplants, etc. they are all a human cause.

If humans would use wiser energy sources, this all could be better. Excample:

Sun power. Using the sun panels, we'd get electricity at day, and when it is dark in the night, we'd use only THEN the other sources. And if we'd go on a little vacation, we'd put the sun panels in the "energy keep" state, so every day, it gathers electricity from the sun, and uses it when needed. And it doesn't harm the nature at all...

So it is better to be worried about too much, since if we won't stop it, then in a 20-30 years, earth could be in a big crisis.

The northern europe, is a very good excample for this..

In 2000, Finland's winters (During november, december) were -5 or -12 degrees (In celcius). In 2006, they were +4 and -1. That a pretty big change. We barely have snow here (Mostly the first snow, that has melted and turned into ice on the roads).

Of course, we DO have snow here, but not as much as we used to. And it has become helluva annoying, that sometimes it is way too hot for winter.

Countries such as China, Japan, France, German, Russia, USA... They have the biggest toxic wastes and earth harming effects on the world. France doesn't want to act anyhow, German will not change the cars smoke waste etc., in China, the global warming effect is just growing, just like in Japan, USA and Russia.

Soooo... Are ya willing to help in the project? OR will you rather stay out?

I'm still undecided, becuase just as you said that global cooling is a natural state, so is global warming. and to state that global warming is only the work of man kind is just vain. while I agree that yes we contribute it is not only us, that adds to the cuases of global warming.

I did say I agree we need to clean up what we're doing. Just forget I said anything. Clearly the only studies that matter are the ones that fall where you already believe. It's too bad you couldn't just delete my comment, huh?

That is something really useless to say. Global warming can be natural, yes, but this harmfull global warming is made by man kind, and we are just making it worse. Do you have any idea of what the world will be like, if this just keeps on going and going? (Sorry for sounding like some nutty prof. or ass, but I kinda take these stuff seriously, especially when it's about this project)

Global warming doesn't only harm the nature, but it also makes big problems for humans.
The sea level keeps growing (In the last 2 years, it has grown 4 meters.. Nice, ehh?) and the GW also damages the O-zone. Plus for that, hurricanes and tornados are being spotted more and more on areas, where they shouldn't be at all. (You propably know that tornados are created, when the warm air collapses with the cool air, and get mixed).
