The farm where Hewlett Packard was founded is preserved.
And Richard Nixon’s house is a museum.
But the house where Superman — one of the world’s most recognized heroes — was created? It’s a wreck.
So, with the creation of The Siegel & Shuster Society, we hope to raise enough money to repair the house and make sure it will be saved, restored, and there so you can take your kids one day.

Bill Melendez Has Passed Away (1916-2008)

reports, 2d 2h agoJose Cuautemoc "Bill" Melendez started off as an animator for Disney and Warner Bros during the 30s and 40s, and later he moved on to UPA where he produced various commercials.
But he's most well remembered for producing (and sometimes directing) the Peanuts animated specials, where he also provided the voice for both Snoopy and Woodstock.
RIP Mr. Melendez. Your works will never be forgotten.

reports, February 24, 2007I know, I know - I missed a week, bad me - forgive me and trail through these lovely delicious deviations all found in the Illustration galleries which can be found:
Digital Art> Drawings> illustrations
And also :
Digital Art> Paintings & Airbrushing> Illustrations.
Something I noticed when going through the galleries, is that a LOT of deviants are unsure of the differences between 'concept art' and 'conceptual art'. The differences are HUGE, and most 'concept art' belongs in Cartoons and Comics not Illustration, so I will try to clarify this more in the next issue !
Also in Illustration news, if you are a childrens illustrator, or an aspiring wanna-be childrens illustrator, check out : *childrensillustrator
