I Am A Child

reports, 1d 54m agoMy little girl is so magical. With a smile she can brighten my world. The glow in her eyes when she tells one of her stories melts away all of the day's problems and concerns. For me, having a child and being able to participate in her life, watch her grow and absorb the wonders of the world, completes me as a human being.
For my latest journal feature I am presenting a visual essay on children -- works by DA artists that beg to ask the question, "Is there anything more pure, more magical than a child?" Breaking up the photos are lyrics from Neil Young's brilliant song about children, "I Am A Child." If you want to listen to Neil's song while viewing the essay, right click on [link]

"Portrait & Model Gallery Community takes off!

reports, March 2, 2007I was invited to a chat through #thumbshare by this stranger called ~CrisP80. He had a private chat but no greater ambition than that for the moment. After a time of talking we figured the chat could be focused on Portrait and Model photography since we both were interested in it.
I took the idea, opened an account and formed the community that is now ~PortraitGallery. We are now a small crowd of over 60 members devoted to photography of the human nature.
I'm not calling out to just photographers, but also to people who like the idea and who like portrait and model photography. And I do believe there is quite the bunch of you out there.
We do have a chat running, but not to many occupants to keep it so for the moment. You can find it by clicking this link. I am online as often as possible and so are fellow chat-moderator =Talescaper. ~CrisP80 can also be found there. You can enter the chat and talk freely whenever you feel like it even if we aren't there.
