What is #MusiCookie?

#MusiCookie is a newly formed channel concerning music. In this club you'll be able to do a ton of things related to music. From just simple chit-chat about who's your favourite composer/singer/band, to discussing about whether or not musique concrete is actually music. In this channel you will be able to ask help about a score you need for your exams next week, share your experience with a particular genre of music, share tips concerning performance, composition or song-writing, and learn all about other people's musical interests, and enrich your own musical vocabulary.

deviantART's multicultural population gives all of us the great opportunity to communicate directly with people from completely different countries and cultural backgrounds. Music plays an important role on one's life, and it highly depends on one's cultural and historical background. Thus, just by contacting someone from India you might learn about Ravi Shankhar and how great he is, and he might as well learn that Shakira totally kicks ass and her lyrics are great Also consider the games we could play (band-association and music hangman... )

Why "Music" and "Cookie"?

Mainly because #music was already taken and I couldn't use numbers or symbols to write something like "music-x" or "music-world". I was also eating chocolate cookies (with milk, mmmmmm) at the time, so I just combined this... I hope it doesn't sound THAT bad

How can I join?

You simply go to #MusiCookie", and voila! You are in the room! However, in order to become a regular member of the club you have to enter a group of the channel. The groups are:

Composers - for people who like to compose music or write songs
Performers - for people who play an instrument (whistling can count too )
Addicts - people who would prefer to have their eyes taken out than their ears ripped off
Other - visitors, or people who don't belong to any other category

To join a group, all you have to do is type

/promote [yournickname] [group]

where [yournickname] is, well, your nickname ( =B ) and [group] is the group you want to join (e.g. /promote jujimufu Composers)

The difference between these groups are... absolutely none, in terms of privilages; all groups have the freedom to post unlimited thumbs, icons, avatars and links, and all can promote/demote respectively from Composers back to Guests.

HOWEVER, appropriate administrative action will be taken from Operators if any people who have joined the room have showed immature, irrespective, discriminative or offensive behaviour towads other members. The room complies with the Etiquette Policy, which you should have already read (go go go! ), so generally, any actions breaking rules of the Etiquette Policy will be treated appropriately. Abuse of the freedom of posting thumbs and icons will lead to the remove of that freedom from the particular members, and this is something that can be done really easily, so please, don't try us out ktanx

There is no deviantART account for #MusiCookie.
