Trees

After watching the movie, “The Fountain”, I realized just how powerful a visual object the tree is and the symbolism that can be wrapped up in such a common object. It’s a symbol of life, death, healing and resurrection. It is both a feminine symbol of fruitage as well as a male symbol of strength and reproduction. Often representing genealogy and a sense of “rootedness,” no matter what culture or religion you are, the tree is probably an important symbol in your life. When I typed in “tree stock” in the digital art category, I couldn’t believe my eyes. What a wealth of visually stunning images! I hope that you enjoy them, as much as I have.

There are so many amazing pieces of artwork I want to feature, but they used stock from sites like sxu, which is perfectly fine, it’s just disappointing that they couldn’t find what they needed on DA. I also want to feature some who’ve used stocks from DA who have since then shut down taking their stocks with them, which is even more saddening! So I encourage all of you out there to provide the best stocks possible so that our artists don’t need to look elsewhere for stock. Take stock seriously, and I hope that you can keep up with it and not get tired with it, it’s a needed resource in the art world. We all appreciate your efforts!
