I met Jon Beinart about year and a half ago here on DA.
Jon Beinart has done something extraordinary for the surreal and visionary art community.
Artists who would have never met before are now family, not so unlike the artists here, who are community and in many cases small close-knit families. Jon has brought world class surrealists and visionaries together on his sites. Jon has supported many artists' work here on DA as well as the club =

About beinArt.org
The beinArt International Surreal Art Collective was founded in 2006 by Jon Beinart. This initiative evolved from The beinArt Underground Australian Surreal Art Collective (founded in 2002), when the decision was made to broaden our focus to the international scene. Since 2002 several featured artists have adopted roles in running the Collective. One of our artists, Leo Plaw deserves a special mention for designing our website. We are a non-profit organization run by artists for artists. As members of a collective, each individual's self-promotion benefits the network as a whole.
We have endeavored to compile a balanced online gallery, representing the extremes of both light and dark themes. The two extremes are usually presented separately, but we believe they belong together under the umbrella of human experience.
Our featured artist list has grown rapidly over the years and since extending our network to include International Artists in the Paintings, Drawings, Sculpture & Digital Art showcases, the Collective has exploded. We now host galleries for over 190 Surreal, Fantastic and Visionary Artists.
beinArt.org is an official online gallery. All featured artists have given permission to be represented by us. All art herein is copyrighted and may not be used for any purposes without the express permission of the respective artist.
We are open to submissions from artists whose work relates to one or more of the following art traditions: Surrealism, Fantastic Realism, Comic Surrealism, Pop Surrealism, Lowbrow, Magic Realism, Visionary, Psychedelic, Esoteric, Occult, Gothic, Macabre, Underground, Outsider, Erotic & Surreal Art
