As most of you know already, almost all the categories on DeviantART, are being restructured. ^aeterne and I put a lot of time into redoing Manga/Anime, running polls, and asking everyone which categories you would like to have. We put it all together, and your new categories will look something like this:

(Categories are subject to change/reorder. Fanart and Oekaki are going to be included, but how is not known yet, but we will let you know when we know. There is no set time for this re-structure to happen, so be patient)

The next article I post will be what each gallery description will be, with detailed explanations on what each category should be for. I am hopeful that will serve as a permanent guide for the gallery, since people dislike having to click to read the gallery descriptions, a one stop news article should be a good alternative. There will be no excuse whatsoever for mis categorizing your deviations, therefore we will be more strict on mis-categorized work.


I know, at first glance some of the galleries will raise eyebrows (yaoi/fetish) but please keep your pants on and wait for the categories to come out, and for the gallery descriptions news before you start slashing them. You don't know how well the categories will do until they are up. So lets not complain and trash a big change before you actually see it.

Lets try to be positive and be happy about the new changes to your gallery.
