It all began in 2004, in Hungary. Around 1500 people gathered on Heroes Square, and circa 750 formed a peace logo with torches in their hands. This was the very first peace demonstration known as 'Békejel' (békejel = peace logo/symbol). The day was the 20th March, on the anniversary of the day when the US attacked Iraq.
Exactly a year after the first one, the next demonstartion attracted more people, (4000) and the living symbol was shaped by 2000 of them. After this, the participants could enjoy blues and ska concerts.
In 2006 there was a peace ceremony, with speeches and music, which transmitted a non-violent and peaceful atmosphere. It was the first "demonstration" in my life. I enjoyed it, and took photos with my friend's Praktica, but it didn't forwarded the film, so I made no pictures.
(This year I managed to do.)
There were less people in 2007 than before, I think because they were afraid of that some trouble-makers could be there too... Fortunately there were none of them, and the atmosphere was great. Demonstrations were held all around the world, you can see the list here:

I wrote too much, here are some of the pictures, I let them talk:
