Okay, so welcome to another edition of my little Mini-DD features! This showcases pieces so good, I honestly think that they're worthy of Daily Deviations! We definitely have some awesome stuff for you this week! And I just realized that I don't know why I'm repeating the concept behind this all in the intro after over twenty editions for some reason!
Ah yes, now I remember. I was trying to create a good lead-in towards my little message towards everyone who reads what I put out each week. I just want to thank you all for supporting the Deviations that I feature in whatever ways possible, be it commenting on what your favorites are, actually faving something here you like, or even just making general comments. Every time you do that, I feel a little better inside, so thanks a lot to you all!
This actually makes the personal goal I'm going for seem a little sweeter: For some odd reason, at the beginning of the year I thought to myself "Man, wouldn't it be cool if at least one Deviation or artist I feature each week actually ended up getting an actual DD?" So I decided to try & make a goal of getting 52 Deviations or artists I feature this year end up with the real deal. And right now the number of DDs stands at 13...One quarter of the way there already!
Now, I may not have been able to accomplish this so far without the aforementioned support from all of you, so thanks for all of your praise & kind comments, & give yourselves a hand! Thanks again, everyone!
Alright, so with my little talk there out of the way, what say we get on with the main event already? On with the Mini-DDs!
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:
...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a creamy milk chocolate center! And if everyone else here keeps up with the kind words, maybe I'll be able to add peanut butter to the mix one day!
Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...
Lovestruck by ~
evil-goma...Oh man, now this is just priceless. Those cute expressions. That kick-ass style. Those wicked character designs. The humor of it all. The little details from the skyline in the background to the sweet lighting effects. All of it, even down to the cute little pun. It all just looks so fantastic, & it perfectly feels as if it was a scene from some amazing cartoon. Besides, how can you not love cartoons of people being struck by lightning in a comical fashion? That's just classic, dammit.

Aside from summing up my feelings for the Pussycat Dolls perfectly,

Infantmind is an excellent piece in several other areas as well. The color scheme is unique & works perfectly, the style is nice & cool (love those textures, great linework as well), the designs are very well done, & the overall look & feel of it all is just amazing. Man, I can relate to what that little guy's being tormented by...
Jackal and Chamodra by ~
Freakshow6 definitely has to be one of the most ambitious & well-done Vector pieces I've ever seen. The creative characters & story behind it all, the wicked style, that cool, "twilight-ish" color scheme, the great amount of detail, even the nice little angle/perspective used here...It just feels like something out of an amazing fantasy story here, & I definitely can't wait to see the other pieces that accompany this baby.
Kizer Star by =
kizer180 is, simply put, a piece that just seems to ooze coolness from every orifice. Maybe it's the wicked character design (Rock star swordsman? How can you lose!), maybe it's just the awesome pose he's striking, maybe it's the amazing style, maybe it's the nice color scheme, maybe it's the cool little details & textures...Or maybe it's a combination of all of the above. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Twisted, warped, insane, & genius are only a few words that describe
+Make War Not Love+ by =
disposablet33n. A few more words that describe it would be colorful, macabre, unique, cartoonish, well-drawn, mind-blowing...Well, you get the idea by now. Love the character designs, by the way, & the concept & ideas behind it all...Definitely a trippy & well-done piece indeed. Gotta love monster dogs, too. That's just the cherry on top.
Mas Pelas by ~
Ethernity...Oh man, I just have no idea how to describe how awesome this is. But here goes...Well, it's just all so strange & weird, but in a completely brilliant way. It's definitely innovative with a cool concept behind it, it's fantastically designed (I can't even tell if parts of it are real or not), the gambling elements are nicely implemented here, & it all just looks so amazing overall. Yeah, that seems to sum up my feelings for this beauty nicely enough...

...Because sometimes you just come across something so cute (& apparently evil) that you just can't resist faving it.
CURSE OF SWEETS I by =
exheaven is a bright, colorful, playful (love the pose & expression), nicely-drawn & well-designed piece with a nice little story & a funny & cool character behind it all. All of it just definitely has the makings of a manga worth checking out...
Sinister Side of the Rainbow by ~
lunrsilvreclips is definitely one wicked watercolor piece. The character design is definitely cool, the style is amazing, & the way it feels both playful & evil at the same time is definitely sweet. But as the title suggests, it's the usage of color here that steals the show. Every color of the rainbow is used here in such a perfect way, blending them all together & using bright & dark colors in just the right ways. Trust me, this is definitely one that you shouldn't miss.
The Sounds of Escapism by *
Simanion is definitely one astonishing, psychedelic work of art. All those bright colors, the amazing amount of detail, the trippy feel to it all, how well-drawn it is, the nice "fluid" feel to it all, & the wicked concept behind it all & how it was inspired...It's just all mind-blowing overall. Hey, well-done pieces with random colorful stuff always give me a good kind of feeling...
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^
