reports, 21h 23m agoThe purpose or rather intent of this news article is to address the increasing concerns by many deviantART members (including myself) as to the recent results from the new Policy Violation Reporting System and the deviantART Copyright Etiquette and Administration (CEA) team. I should stress that this is not meant as an attack or attempt to defame what the CEA team does. They do a fantastic job at making sure that deviantART is clean but rather it addresses a serious concern about interpretations of two FAQs, namely #565 and their compliance with United States Code Statutes.

If you like art, if you are interested in what other people make, fine. If you are a beginning artist, who wants to create and learn how to express and communicate and feel through the medium of your choice, this is the right place. We are all here to learn and we all started out staggering, falling and nobody made a masterpiece first time trying.
But if you are here because your friends are here, because you feel that having an account on this site makes you cool and coolness is all you really care about, don't bother. Most people will hate you, ignore you, or on a bad day, yell at you.
And if your idea of art is pressing 'print screen' while playing your over-merchandised computergame, or applying a photoshop-filter to your webcam photo, don't bother. We; which means I and the other people reacting in a positive way to this article, do not want you here at all. If we could, we would personally delete your account. And preferably disable your connection to the internet. If it were in our power, we would throw you out of your parents' basement so you could finally enjoy some sunlight.
Don't get me wrong, we would love to teach you how to become an artist, because that is what this site is about. But first you must understand that this site is not about how many pageviews you have. Not even about how many people yelled "LOL" as a comment to your 'deviation'. And it is certainly not about having a big friendslist as a compensation for underdeveloped reproductive organs.

Don't get me wrong, but...I never understand this pageviews thingy :/
And something else, if you want to become an artist, yes people from deviantART can teach you how to do it, as many people gave me advices about how to improve a photo i took e.t.c.
But if you want to be an artist and a good one, doesn't matter if you are new or not, stop coping ideas from other people! Art means you do/make something new and creative and do not repeat others ideas, or I'm wrong?
And no, is no so prototype to take another 'typical' photograph or drawing another anime char
