I have noticed that most of the poeple are focused on past artists. Many people don't notice that there are awesome photographers, artisans and gamers. Yes, gamers, there are few artists that play WoW and do art. So, I just wated to share two of those people with you guys.
First one is Tristan he plays WoW and is an actor. He has his own web-site so just read his auto-biography.
======================================================================
My name is Tristan.
Nicknamed Tristanmon in WoW, and TheGodfather in all other games. I am 22 years old, a leo. I graduated from City College New York a theatre major.
Yeah.. um
I like monkeys.. and sometimes HIPPOS!! But other than that I enjoy long walks on the beach and
Oh yes almost forgot, I LIKE CHICKEN! anyway
lol
My most recent roles have included Joseph Pitt from Angels in America to The Fool in King Lear. I have also just directed the musical The Fantasticks Many of my movies draw upon a key ideal I tried to portray in that show(especially in Changed, it has much on the outside to be taken, but it also has some hidden meanings which can be taken by a person to person basis):
The magic of theatre is truly at its finest in The Fantasticks. The true magic about this show, even as we get older and often use our imagination less, is that we can feel free to let go and the story will take on a life of your own . By letting go, I mean try something you have never done before without any aspiration of outcome, but with the knowledge that there is only something wonderful to explore. The key to this story is not to bring the inner child out, but to evoke the imagination of those watching, be it adult or child. Through those different experiences you will then be at the heart of theatre. It has much to offer. Enjoy!
I had an Atari and Apple II(yeah an actually floppy disk) when I was 4 and have enjoyed computers since I was very young. Mostly I enjoyed games where I could interact with other people. I played Ultima Online for 7 years, the original MMO of its time. Hopefully this site will give you an insight about me or you can just ask.
There are numerous ways I can be contacted:

Name: Nick Bertke
Age: 18
Residence: Mandurah, WA, Australia

I was born in Capetown, South Africa in 1988. Since I
was an infant, I've had a love for music and was always
fascinated by how it was made. I got my first tape
recorder when I was 2, and would spend hours every day
just listening to music and making recordings.
We moved to Invercargill, New Zealand when I was 6. When I was 10, me and my friends started up a band called 'Minor Conflict', coming 1st in school talent quests and eventually getting into the 'Pepsi Smoke-Free Rock Quest' of 1999. We scored air-time on Channel 3 News and made the front page of the newspaper. Logan was our lead guitarist, Mike was our singer, Tod eventually came in as basist, while I was the drummer.
CGI has amazed me ever since I was 10. I used to Marvel at films like The Mummy series, Star Wars, A.I, The Matrix, and couldn't help but wonder how it was all done. With every DVD we rented, I used to spend hours watching the special features, amazed at all the equipment and how CG characters were brought to life. Wanting to know more, I seeked out information on the internet and slowly uncovered for myself the different tools and methods used in the VFX industry. I was astounded to find trial versions of major 3D packages, and immediately began learning how to use them myself.
In 2004, I began rendering models from the game 'Half-Life 2' into photographs using lighting methods invented by Paul Debevec. After posting the images on Garry Newman's Facepunch Forums, the thread's view count soared above 1,000,000 views over the next two years.
Some of my images gained air-time on the TV show 'Attack Of The Show' in America, inspiring a small tutorial about my work on their website, and I also had interviews conducted by Hyperfocal Design and Death Fall.
I was offered a freelance job from Ziff Davis Media, requesting I make the background image for their on-line 'Steam Punks' magazine cover.
I was offered a freelance job from Microsoft to produce previsualization images that would depict technologies of the next verion of DirectX.
Matteo Bittanti has written a small article on my work including some of my first renders, in his book 'GAMESCENES: Art in the Age of Videogames', ISBN 978-88-6010-010-8.
I hope you liked my article and their auto-biography.
Cheers.
