Okay, so as you all know, this contest has been going on forever. Since January 11th I believe. I wanted to hold a huge contest with great prizes and make people try really hard to win. Well, let me just tell you, every single entry was amazing in its own way. I know that DA is full of amazing talent, but this went way past what I was expecting. It was very hard to choose 2 winners.

There were two different categories in this contest. A traditional art/written/crafts category, and digital/photo/3D/Manip category. There were very few rules for my contest, and mostly everyone abided by them which made me happy.

In the end, there can only be two winners and I had to choose them. So, without further a due,

She is an amazing varied artist. This piece stood out to me because of the different stocks used, textures and the overall feeling of Neglect that I get when I look at this piece. For her "first real" attempt at photo manipulation, she did a darn good job. I am very impressed and hope that she continues to work at her manips because I can really see her making some beautiful artwork.

This is one of the most beautiful traditional art pieces I have come across on DA as of this day. There is so much love that went into this piece of art and I fell in love with it right away. Most of the time when I look through peoples' artwork, I can pick out the parts that I love, and parts that I would rather see different, but not with this painting. Everything simply jumps out at the viewer, the colors, the expression in the child's face. Everything is perfect.
