FEATURES AND TIPS:
As stockers we need to have a certain degree of imagination and creativity to keep bringing artists what they want or need for their deviations. But sometimes the artists need something a little different, or specific, for what they have in mind.

There are a number of stockers on dA that take requests, others that take suggestions and put their own little spin on things. If you're a stocker that takes requests/suggestion - kudos to you! We're all about giving the artists what they need, and below are a few examples of what you can find being requested:



For ARTISTS: If you want to make a request to a specific stocker, please check their rules first to see if they take requests. If they do - send a note and give as many details as possible! The clearer the picture you can put in our heads the better we'll be able to fullfil your needs.
If you're making a general request - visit our forums! There are a lot of regular stockers that drop by and would be more than willing to fill your request or at least help you find someone that will or an image similar to what you need.

When you make a request: Don't forget the specifics! If you are requesting model stock remember to say what gender/age range and various physical aspects you'd like (eg long brown hair, asian features etc). If you want a specific pose or expression - say so. If you need a certain type of costume/theme, or need it by a certain time (deadline) you should make a note of that too.
When you make a request in the forums - say so in the title so we can find it easier amongst the other chatter. "Request: Female reading a book on a couch" is fine for a title - you can give more details in the body of the thread.

And lastly - don't despair if your request isn't filled. We can always try and help you find something else that might work just as well, if not better than what you had in mind!


GOING CLUBBING:

Stock Clubs! Where stockers can go to submit their work to gain a bit of publicity and to interact with other stockers in contests and themes!

- Has an awesome selection of everything manippers could want for their photomanipulations. A little bit of stock, some brushes, tutorials - if you need a resource then you'll find it here!

- Awesome club for stockers to join and artists to watch. You'll find stock posted to the club gallery in easy to navigate themes and as an extra bonus for stockers - check out the Member Critiques to help improve your stock!


STOCK CHALLENGES:
We've got a lot of awesome stock in the StockArt gallery but if you are itching to try something new - why not join in on the Monthly Stock Challenges I'm hosting at =demonicintuition

The current challenge for April is: PERSPECTIVE

You might remember my first Stockilicious News Article that showed the various perspectives you can use while doing stock. So here's your opportunity to try something new! All the details can be found here: [link]

All you need to do is submit some stock with a different perspective/camera angle during the Month of April and note me with a link! How simple!? All perspective stock will be featured in my journal and, at the beginning of the next month, will be featured in the Features Newsletter.

Pick any 5 - Stock Activity!: We love posting stock for artists - but sometimes the stock we love the most isn't used as much as we would like. This thread, by *lindowyn-stock, is to help stockers promote 5 of their less used, favourite stock and a GREAT place for artists to find those rare stocky gems that you won't see in every second artwork that is submitted.
