A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
I have posted several nude photographs and found that quite a lot of the time it just attracts perverts or people that will only go "nice boobs" or even worse. Why can nothing be done about this?!
The whole point in these photographs is that they are ARTISTIC nude, it is not there for men, or women, to just gawp at because they think it's free porn. The most dA offers is an adult content filter and a watermark, both of which are pretty easy to get around.
It is, of course, known to most people that this will happen if they post nudes. But that doesn't mean it is acceptable or that they are 'asking for it' in any way. Surely people should be able to post art without fear of being leered at or having their work taken and used for other purposes!
Obviously it would be a very difficult task for dA to resolve, nion impossible really, but surely members would be able to show more respect towards other people's artwork.
I get the same problems with my website, when I post serious articles on adult subjects I get a tonn of traffic but it's all the wrong sort of people who are just looking for free tits and arse - and with them comes the spam >_<
Yeah, it's a shame not enough people appreciate it, and we're also the ones that have to deal with all the negative comments because of other people's stupidity and ignorance.

The most we can do is hide them, which isn't that great because then others look and know that something negative has been said, seeing as it's so freakin' obvious!

"but surely members would be able to show more respect towards other people's artwork."
I believe you put far too much faith in the human race. I mean your arguement is valid. But honestly, children are taught networking skills during the time when they used to learn things like patience, and respect.
good luck though and kudos to you. Even though nothing shall come of it.

Thing is which ever subject you work with you will get comments (not critiques) that are just pointless ie: nice boobs, or 101 emoticons etc. With time one has to learn to shrug those and to accept the comments and friendship of those people that matter. I agree artistic nude is not free porn, human body is beautifull, expressive and one can say quite a lot with it, scream out emotions, or even do amazing abstractions using the muscle tone and the curves and shadows. Thing is when someone posts a stupid comment it just shows their level of inteligence, and the lack of ability to appreciate artwork, to extend their mind and soul. Everyone can then see they are not worth it, removing those comments achieves nothing.
Good point
I agree with not removing negative comments in general, but I'm not so sure about leaving degrading comments (such as 'nice tit's and such like) in plain view. Although if left there, others will see that they do, as you said, lack intelligence.

I do not put far too much faith in the human race, that is my point here.
This doesn't have much to do with networking skills, more perverts who use art for their own disgusting uses, which is unacceptable. We have every right to share our art with the world without having it taken from us and trodden on.

Not afraid they gonna take ur nude to porno site or whatever other purpose, that is not a concern @ all if u are smart enough to post it in lower resolution. but sad because they get lots of views + useless comments.
DeviantART is counting down to its 100 millionth deviation! Join in on the fun and take a look back at some of the most noteworthy deviations we've seen along the way. The deviant who uploads the 100 millionth deviation could win a special prize, too. Hurry, we're going to hit the 100 million mark soon!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
