I'm passionate about music, and also about art, but it is sadly impossible to capture the sound of music in an image or art work. I have noticed, however, a very special relationship between musical instruments and musicians in their art-work. It is almost possible to personify an instrument in photography (or indeed any art form), and there are some very beautiful images reflecting the close relationship between the instrument and the human form.
I've been inspired by some wonderful images featuring musical instruments. There is something magical about the relationship between music and people, and the following images capture that magic. Here are some of my favourites, I hope you enjoy these as much as I have. Credit goes to all these brilliant artists for their outstanding work:
