This is a collection of art that has been produced while Under the Influence of Music.

Through a series of articles, I will bring you art of all shapes, sizes, colors, and styles.
From digital art, to traditional art, and even photography and literature.
Artist Statements are included to allow the viewer to get into the heads of those who have created such wonderful art.
We will be exploring categories of art styles as well as objects in the art.

“These are really just a continuation of my study into Music in Art. The Vectors took me a long time, but the one of Machine Head was one that I used to do a painting. It came in very useful. I think the orange suited J Petrucci's amazing style, and I gave Akerfeldt a simple pencil sketch because it sums up his delicate tones [when he isn’t growling].”

”This was influenced by my favourtite band My Chemical Romance, and probably my most favourite song of theirs, Vampires Will Never Hurt You. They are just simply amazing, so I had to create this as a tribute to their greatness!”

“Chibi AFI Colored”

“AFI has inspired me through their music because it has given me so much thought about life. To show my appreciation of them, I drew this picture of the band in chibi form (maybe next time I'll try to draw them more real-like). The hard part the I encountered while drawing this was trying to make the guitars look more detailed. I wish I was able to put more details on the other stuff, but then it'll come out tiny and you'll be unable to see it anyway. I think overall the picture came out pretty good. I have used this picture once for this AFI project and hopefully they got to see it. Enjoy this picture AFI fans, DFers, and everyone else (people who don't like AFI, but should look at the quality of the picture).”

“There are a million things I can say about both Tool and Sublime, as well as the other bands showcased in my gallery… in one case, we have a walking, talking enigma that has already become quite a legend without actually stepping aside and allowing such event to occur. And then we have another band who was unfortunate enough to become a legend too soon. “Garden Grove” highlights certain lyrics that I chose to sum up the band - specifically Brad - but this piece is more about the band itself than the lyrics.”
