April Agon Finale

`coshdaddy:iconcoshdaddy: reports, May 3, 2007
April Agon

All throughout April, we will be hosting some short writing contests to the forums with various styles and prompts. These will be posted on Monday and will close Friday at midnight GMT.

Weekly prizes will be handed out, as well as prizes for the entire month, for things such as frequency of participation and overall quality.

Week 4: Results

With the month ramping down, so did the entries. However, we still had quite a few to go over, and in the end we decided to award *lovetodeviate her second prize of the month.

Her dialogue-driven piece, The Harsingar Tree was a quick choice for this week's winner. She will receive a 3-month subscription, as well as a lit-themed mug.

This was the toughest prompt of them all so far, so although it had the fewest results, we still managed to get an excellent winner to showcase. Well done to all the entrants.

Overall Contest Results

The whole month of April was a really strong one for poets. We saw quite a lot of people taking part in National Poetry Writing Month, one a day, and we saw quite a lot of entries into the April Agon competition. We'd like to thank everyone who entered, but would like extend a bit of a bonus thanks to a few people who really made an impact during this whole epic.

One participant has shone through during April's four contests. She's consistently put her work forth into the fray -- and it's been of a consistently high standard. So congratulations to *lovetodeviate for her efforts. She wins $20 worth of dA prints.

Two other participants have been nearly as eager throughout, and put forward some excellent entries themselves despite being runners up each week. Well done to *GeneratingHype and =MSJames for giving it their all. They each receive a 3 month sub.

Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who made an effort during the month to strengthen their own work and to give us all something to enjoy.

Well done.
