THE CONTEST

Illustrate your favourite character from a book. You can work rather freely on this subject.

As you all know the judges can’t have read all the millions of books that exist, so if you would kindly add the paragraph or phrase where you base the character on. Not a whole chapter, but a paragraph or some collected sentences to make us able to build up an idea of our own. It’ll make it easier to see when someone has been creative.

This is a photography contest. Only photography will be allowed, which means photomanipulations are not. Some minor changes like cropping, saturation, burn, contrast, colors and such are of course allowed.

Entries will be judged on originality and skills



SUBMISSION

Upload the entry to your gallery and note *PortraitGallery with it, along with the paragraph/phrase.
Remember you need to be a member of this community in order to enter. (Just put PG on your watchlist and we’ll watch you back and wolah; Membership galore!)



DEADLINE

This will be running until the 10th of July so you have a lot of time on your hands to be creative. It can be prolonged if need be.

As you all know this is our first contest so we’re not giving out any heavy prizes. The ones we’ve got is the following:

All three winners will have their winning piece in the portrait gallery whether they already have two in it or not.
